This half-day course is filled with lots of practical advice, information and discussion on how to write successful funding applications.

It will take you through the key areas of: planning your activities; your accounts and costs; marketing and research; monitoring; and how to meet funders’ outcomes.

The training takes place in small groups so you’ll have the opportunity to meet people from other local organisations and gain access to the range of support services at Voluntary Action.

The CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is suitable as an introduction to employees. There are no entry requirements, although all experience gained within a variety of workplace settings is relevant to the course and useful to each candidate to gain a greater understanding of Health and Safety
in the Workplace.

The course is 6 hours in duration and is completed by a 30 question multiple choice paper which is marked by the awarding body CIEH.

HSE Emergency First Aid at Work

Course Content:

A Health & Safety Executive (HSE) recommended, non-assessed course. This is the minimum level of First Aid training for the workplace, and also suitable for first aid needs in social and domestic settings.

The certificate is awarded to all candidates who successfully completed the one day course, demonstrated competence, and took an active role in all practical work and discussion.

The certificate is nationally recognised and is valid for 3 years
