Waltham Forest Direct Shop Closures

Waltham Forest Council will close three of the four Council’s walk-in Waltham Forest Direct shops: those in Leytonstone, Leyton and Chingford, with the Walthamstow location remaining open.

The WFD shops will close on 12 August (Leyton), 26 August (Chingford) and 31 August (Leytonstone).

WFD Walthamstow will remain open, as will existing provision for housing and benefits services in locations such as Cedar Wood House and Juniper House.

In addition to this, the council is running a pilot scheme in Leyton Library, whereby Council staff will be on-hand to answer general enquiries and speak to residents about more complex matters during pre-booked appointments.
